Cherkos Agebo, is an old church with a ceiling made out of fine boards.
Although the church is small in size, it has three chambers
In Aksumite architectural style, two rock-pillars, well decorated, support the
ceiling. The walls bear crosses. The access to the chamber where the tabot is
accommodated has its sides fixed with fine woods and stones alternatively. Its
interior resembles the Zarema Giorgis church. It lies west of Debreselam.
Cherkos Agebo is adjacent to the Mariam Agebo church whose paintings and murals
are well preserved.
